Production Technician

Available Locations: Angola, IN, Edgewater, FL, & Orwigsburg, PA

SUMMARY

The Production Technician is responsible for routine and preventative maintenance duties within the production department. These Duties include stapling, skinning, grinding, cleaning, performing inspections, clean up, proper storage and disposal of products, operating various tools and equipment, and various tasks as assigned by the Facility Manager.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

-          Preparing and setting up necessary tools and equipment for manufacturing awnings, canopies, and miscellaneous aluminum structures.

-          Keep equipment operating by troubleshooting, maintaining supplies, performing preventative maintenance

-          Communicating with the Facility Manager about needed repairs

-          Propose potential quality or productivity enhancements for continual improvement.

-          Review finished assemblies and parts to ensure accuracy against drawings and BOMs.

-          Report fabrication issues and assist resolutions as required.

-          Perform shop floor duties such as stapling, packing, shipping, loading, and unloading.

-          Paint prep as needed.

-          Maintain accurate inventory.

-          Analyze work orders to complete the manufacturing of awnings.

-          Operate a variety of tools and equipment as needed for each job.

-          Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.

-          Follow special instructions and requirements to ensure work is performed in a cost-conscious manner.

-          Communicate with the supervisor to determine any specific instructions for the job.

-          Suggest tools and equipment to improve operations.

-          Assist on installs as needed.
