Project Spotlight: Five Below - Aberdeen, MD
This week’s featured project takes us to Aberdeen, MD, where we delivered a full architectural canopy and awning package for Five Below’s retail location. With a focus on durability, clean design, and precise execution, this install enhances both the function and curb appeal of the storefront.
Scope of Work
(2) Standing Seam Awnings:Fabricated and installed two open-end standing seam awnings using an all-aluminum MIG-welded frame system. Frames were coated in RAL5010 Blue with standing seam pans color-matched to Sunbrella Royal Blue Tweed.
(1) Arched Architectural Canopy: Designed with a curved break-formed deck and integrated gutter, this canopy features structural steel components, adjustable hanger rods, and a powder-coated bronze fascia with a white underside. The top uses 12" standing seam pans finished in Royal Blue Tweed coating for visual continuity.
(1) Utility Canopy: A flat, functional aluminum deck with an integrated gutter system, coated in paint (top and bottom), delivering clean protection at the rear access point.
Structural Details: Fabricated scuppers, wall plates, hanger rods, and reinforced c-channel framework ensure long-term structural integrity and clean water management.
Turnkey Execution: Full service from survey and engineering to fabrication and final installation during regular business hours, no graphics, lighting, or egg crate required.
